What We Value
Mission: To educate each child with reverence and respect; to nurture wonder, confidence and initiative so they may participate in the world guided by a sense of truth and responsibility.
Vision: Through a holistic and academically rigorous education, WWS fosters the development of socially responsible and innovative students committed to a lifelong love of learning, active engagement in society, and a sense of wonder for the world around them.
What Makes Us Unique
Our holistic, well‑rounded curriculum combines academic rigor with artistic, practical, and social development. Learning is guided by B.C.–certified educators with specialized Waldorf training, supported by small class sizes and a class‑teacher model that builds strong, lasting student relationships.
Our program includes French instruction beginning in Grade 1, Handwork and Practical Arts, and an enriched Liberal, Music and Fine Arts curriculum, alongside experiential learning, environmental leadership, Outdoor Education, service learning and international exchange opportunities.
Our School Community
At WWS, we educate each child with reverence and respect, nurturing wonder, confidence and initiative.
From an early age, students take ownership of their learning. Waldorf education cultivates socially responsible, self-motivated individuals who are resilient and respectful.
Our campus reflects the natural beauty of the region and embodies our values. It’s a welcoming space that inspires curiosity, well-being and connection. Our philosophy supports global sustainability and reinforces our commitment to responsible citizenship.
The Sea to Sky
Whistler is one of North America’s top mountain resorts, offering world-class skiing, biking, hiking and five stunning lakes. Just 90 minutes north of Vancouver, it’s home to a vibrant arts scene and a close-knit community of over 10,000.
The Sea to Sky Corridor, stretching from Squamish to Pemberton, is rich in outdoor adventure and renowned destinations like Whistler Mountain Bike Park. The region also features excellent dining, shopping and cultural events.
Despite its popularity, Whistler maintains a small-town feel. Annual festivals like Cornucopia, Crankworx and the World Ski and Snowboard Festival reflect its welcoming, community spirit.
