Highroad Academy

Highroad Academy was founded in 1978 by Glad Tidings Church as a place for a high-quality education based on Christian principles. Starting from a single classroom in the church basement with 30 students and three staff, our school now enrolls over 500 and employs 60 staff on a campus with more than 30 classrooms.

From a non-accredited system to a fully accredited school that not only meets Ministry of Education standards but has distinguished itself for academic awards, in addition to accolades for athletics, music, career education, and agriculture.

Included among our over 650 Highroad grads are tradespeople, pastors, doctors, social workers, police officers, parents, missionaries, and educators.

Our goal is to equip our students with an academic and spiritual foundation that enables them to fulfill their individual calling and make a difference in their world. Highroad is a multi-generational school. Many of our current students are the children of our alumni, and the next generation is on its way. Spiritual and character development are integral to our identity. From morning devotions to Bible classes, assemblies, weekly chapels, and Biblical integration woven throughout the curriculum, our spiritual identity is what makes us who we are.

As a ministry of City Life Church, we are proud to serve families from more than 30 churches in Chilliwack. And while there may be differences in denominational beliefs, we find unity in the principles that tie us together: growing, learning, connecting, and serving, as the Body of Christ.
